The history of the University
The Abdullah bin Masood’s (may Allah be pleased with him) university was established in the year 1440 AH by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan as an islamic-specialized and educational institution. Since 1443 AH, it has been functioning as an independed official administrative unit under the framework of ministry of Higher Education, serving as academic institution of the country.
Higher Education in the field of Islamic studies, up to the specialization level (PhD), is conducted within this university.
